Goods delivery and its effects are important subjects in law that have been investigated in the context of sales contracts. Delivery, whether actual or by rule, results in the possession and ownership of the goods by the buyer and enables him or her to claim ownership rights over the goods. In the present article, the common nature of delivery in Iran and Syria, as well as in jurisprudence and the Vienna Convention, has been emphasized. Among the examples of delivery are the transfer of property in total goods, the transfer of commutative liability, and the waiver of the lien on goods. The mentioned concepts, despite minor differences in their legal systems, are expressed in a similar manner. Identifying the common rules regarding the delivery of goods and its effects paves the way for creating convergence between the legal systems of the two countries through accession to international conventions or the development of model rules.
