Achieving the prospective goals of the market is contingent upon the existence of a series of institutions or a process termed competition, the outstanding feature of which is economic freedom. The result of this process is the creation of motives and mechanisms desirable for economic growth through innovations and initiatives. In this institutional atmosphere, the free behavior of economic activists and consumers is not completely predictable. Thus, the supply of newer and less expensive products by competitors is considered a serious threat. The outcome of this situation is allocative and productive efficiency and an increase in consumer welfare. This article argues that the existence of the transactions system and the strengthening of its institutions are necessary expediencies from the perspective of Shiite jurisprudents. Therefore, it is one of the important duties of the Muslim ruler to defend the integration of the market through setting regulations of competition law. This law is a reasonable mechanism for defending the integration of the funding market against those who intend to limit transaction freedoms by using market power and to change the direction of market rules toward personal interests or arbitrary goals.
